Everything Amazing Traditional Mexican Experience, Tried this place Once, and now it's our after work go to place to recharge and have a very delicious Dinner ! My favorite foods here is bacon potato egg breakfast taco with green sauce, half a shrimp quesadilla for lunch, and the chicken queso rice dip for dinner. They have a drive through window and excellent service inside and at window. I have never had to wait on refill, very long for my order to be taken or to get it... the sangria margarita is aaaamazing. Ambiance is great with the large booths that give a feeling of privacy. Really it has a feeling of community like where the you might meet a group of friends and family for a nice not too expensive get together.
Legit one of the few doable restaurants in Gaitsville/fort hood. I should start by saying Mexican cuisine is NOT my favorite. But it was either this or subway,McDonald's,or maybe gas station food. Anyhow, despite this fact I'd say overall not bad. The meat dish - forget the name -but basically a massive plate of steak, chicken, sausage, AND pork with corn tortillas, beans, and all the fajita fixings imaginable. Everything was well seasoned and tender here but the sausage was bland. The menudo would have been a major hit were it not for the salt level. Waaaaay too salty. The shrimp cocktail was one of the weirdest thing I have ever tasted. It was sitting in this cold tomato broth soup with huge chunks of avocados swimming on top. Really odd and the taste was just not for me. Service was great. They gave like 10 crackers, tons of condiments and everything was packaged well and piping hot. The price was extremely reasonable. Really good Mexican food, that compares to my moms cooking. I came for lunch and returned for dinner. If you are craving "homemade Mexican" food this is a great spot to satisfy that craving. For lunch I had a steak Gordita, the steak was made well and the ingredients tasted fresh. For Dinner I had the menudo... and it reminded me of my moms homemade menudo!
We liked this place SO MUCH! Rodeo Fajita Nachos - excellent. Enchiladas Al Carbon - excellent. Sweet Tea - excellent. Free Chips & Salsa - excellent. Prices - excellent. Service - excellent. Honestly the only thing that bugged us was a table full of half-drunk hicks that were being loud and extremely particular about the sh*tty beers (Coors, Miller, etc.) they were ordering. We felt bad for the waitress.
